On February 8, 2024, the prosecutor of the Frunzensky district of Minsk, Andrei Murashko, held a meeting with the team of the Belarusian Oil Company CJSC.
Andrei Vladislavovich highlighted in his speech the details of the main provisions of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated July 15, 2015 “On anti-corruption measures” and the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated December 15, 2014 N 5 “On strengthening requirements for management personnel and employees of organizations”, explained what actions of officials of state-owned enterprises may fall within the scope of the concept of “corruption offense” and what consequences the commission of such actions may have. He specified the measurements that should be taken in accordance with the law once the corruption is detected among the employees. It was noted that anti - corruption activity should include not only prohibitive measures and the efforts of law enforcement agencies. It is very important to involve the public in issues of identifying and fighting against corruption, as well as to create intolerance towards its manifestations.
The prosecutor especially stressed the issue of a conflict of interests between the employees and gave recommendations for such situations.
Also it was given an explanation regarding the procedure of accepting gifts at official and protocol events.
Special attention of workers was drawn to the need to comply with legislation and security in the information and digital space, and specified the measures against the actions of cybercriminals.
The representative of the supervisory agency paid special attention to the issues of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues, and gave examples of the tragic consequences of rash actions of persons involved in criminal activities related to the distribution or use of drugs.
Part of the prosecutor's speech was devoted to the upcoming elections. Previously, the team of the Belarusian Oil Company CJSC got presented with an information leaflet about the Unified Voting Day on February 25, 2024. A.V. Murashko called on everyone to come to the polling stations and make their choice. He also informed about the possibility and procedure for early voting, and drew attention to new norms in the electoral legislation.
After the speech, Andrei Murashko continued communicating with the company’s staff in the “Question and Answer” format, and also informed about the procedure for personal reception of citizens by the management staff of the prosecutor’s office of the Frunzensky district of Minsk.
